Dear Parents,
During winter, a season for severe weather, all parents should be aware
of our school's plan for emergency closings.
In case of an early closing during the school day, you will be notified
by a phone call via our new AlertNow communications system to the
number(s) provided on the Emergency Notification form which you filled
out earlier. (If we do not have this paper in the office, please return
them as soon as possible.)
Also, news of
the early closing will be broadcast over the radio and TV stations
listed at the bottom of this page. Please do not call either of school
offices. Phone lines need to be clear for emergency calls.
If severe weather should develop in the evening or on a weekend and
there is a question as to whether school will be open the next day,
check the website for information. With our new AlertNow
notification system, school closings or late openings will also be
announced via phone calls to all families and emails to all families
that have provided email addresses for communication purposes. All
calls and emails will be made simultaneously via the new system as soon
as the Principal makes the decision. The website will be also updated
with the information as the decision is announced.
Also, please
tune into the radio stations and TV stations listed below for more
information.
There will be no special mention of both campuses on the radio or TV. We
will be listed simply as "Notre Dame School" indicating both Landisville
& Newfield campuses. **In both circumstances. please do not call the
radio or TV stations. the phone.** (KYW Channel 3 is the only exception.
