| ALERTNOW
MESSAGES |
Our sincere thanks to Kathy, Frankie and Karen Valla for the family's contribution to Notre Dame School in memory of
their husband and father, the late Frank Valla. Part of the funds
from the family were used to allow us to gain access to the AlertNow
rapid communications system.
Messages will be sent via email and
phone as needed. Emergency messages relating to school closings or other
emergency situations will also be sent via the system. This is an
important part of our efforts to improve communication and to spread the
"good news" about education at Notre Dame.

2-21-10: Hello this
is Dr. Alimenti calling to tell Landisville that until the snow is
cleared from the front of the school, after school pickup will be in the
back of the school at the gym entrance beginning tomorrow. After 3pm
however, you must pick up must from the front door since there won't be
anyone to let you through the gym door. A reminder to Newfield Parents
for tomorrow until Church is cleared you can use the bus lane on Arch
beginning tomorrow for all quick drop offs and pick ups. You may not
leave your car because the Delsea bus arrives around 7:55 to 8am and the
bus must have complete access to that area. Please do your best to work
with that time frame and to make your drop off quick. As I said this
will be be in effect until the snow is cleared from Church St. And a big
thanks to PK3 parents for making their change for drop-off and pick up
so smoothly. I appreciate your cooperation.

1-15-10:
This is Dr. Alimenti calling with three
important messages. First there will be detours on Catawba Ave. and
Madison Ave in Newfield beginning on Monday. Newfield police advised us
to use Route 40 to Rosemont Ave (the first left after Madison going east
on 40) or take Weymouth Rd to the boulevard. You may be able to use that
part of Catawba or follow the signs to Arch St. Secondly, if you have
not applied for financial aide for the 10-11 school year, it is
imperative that you so immediately. We are preparing the budget and we
need to plan for financial aide. You will need our school code for this
application and it is 06718. Lastly, the 8th grade is sponsoring a super
bingo on Sunday at 1pm.Doors open at 11am. Come on out and support our
8th grade and have fun too! |

10-27-09:
Hello this is Dr. Alimenti with two announcements. First, in honor of
the opening game for the World Series Championship, the students may
wear a red or sports related shirt tomorrow. For the Newfield campus,
they may wear this over their uniform shirts. For the Landisville
Campus, they may wear their shirt with their gym uniforms since Wed is
their gym day.
Also, the diocese wants our families to apply
now for tuition aid for the coming year. The deadline for this
application is December 31st. Look for a letter in your communication
envelop with more information regarding the deadlines and how to apply.
Thank you and have a great evening.

Aug. 12, 2009
Hello this is Dr. Alimenti calling with
two announcements. First is a reminder that on Saturday at 8am, we are
loading a truck with our clothing drive items. Following that we are
moving the library from Seton Hall to the School. We need all the help
we can get. Please consider lending us a hand. Even if you cannot get be
there for the entire time, a few hours will be helpful. We expect to be
finished by noon. Second, we are now collecting all types of juice
wrappers, like the Capri Sun Wrappers, because there is a company that
will pay us 2 cents a wrapper. Please start to save your wrappers. You
can place them in a plastic bag and drop them off at the school.
Attached to this email is a flyer about this with information that you
may find helpful. Participation in this activity will not only help
Notre Dame as a fundraiser, but it will also be a Green Effort since the
juice bags are recycled in to pocketbooks and the like. So start saving
those wrappers. I have already chan ged from juice boxes to juice bags
for my grandchildren.

August 10, 2009:
Hello this is Dr. Alimenti calling with a
few messages. On Saturday, August 15th at 9am we will be loading another
truck with our clothes from our clothing drive. If you have items that
you want to donate to the school, please bring them to the school this
week or have them here no later than 9am on Saturday. Remember that we
take pillows, shoes, linens, towels, tablecloths, pocketbooks, as well
as all items of clothing. Also we will need help loading up the truck on
Saturday. It takes about an hour. If you can help, please be there at
8am. Also on that day, we need help reorganizing our library. We need to
move books and bookcases from Seton Hall to the school. If we have
enough hands, it should be short work and will only require a few hours
of your morning. Please plan to help us with this. We need to prepare
the old library for the new PK3 program so we are moving the library to
school. Thank you and have a great evening.
